※ Yamanashi Prefecture has announced, "Those with mountain hut reservations may pass through the gate during restricted hours. However, as a general rule, please pass through the gate before 4pm." It is a 30-minute walk from the fifth station to the hut, so if you pass through the gate by 4pm, you will be in plenty of time to meet the hut's check-in deadline of 5pm.
