Please note that entry from the 5th Station is not permitted between 2:00 PM and 3:00 AM the following day, except for guests with reservations at the mountain lodge.
Guests staying at our hut are allowed to pass through the gate after 2:00 PM.
It takes approximately 30 minutes on foot from the 5th Station to our lodge.
Therefore, we kindly ask that you pass through the gate by 4:00 PM to ensure you arrive by our check-in deadline at 5:00 PM.

Cancellation policy
Basic Policy
Seikanso is a mountain hut located at the 6th Station of the Yoshida Trail on Mt. Fuji. Due to the nature of mountain hut operations and its location, staffing arrangements, preparation of food, fuel, and consumables, as well as carrying supplies up the mountain, are conducted in advance based on reservations. Even in the event of last-minute cancellations, these preparation costs cannot be recovered, and vacant rooms are difficult to resell. Therefore, the following cancellation policy has been established.
Cancellation Fees
- From 2 days before the check-in date: 50% of the accommodation fee
- Same-day cancellation or no-show: 100% of the accommodation fee
- 3 days or more before the check-in date: No cancellation fee
Cancellation must be completed by the guest through the Yamatan reservation system. Phone calls regarding cancellation are not required.
Refund Policy
No refunds will be issued after cancellation fees are incurred, regardless of the reason. This includes, but is not limited to, bad weather, transportation issues (such as Subaru Line road closures), or personal health conditions.
Responsibility for Climbing Decisions
All decisions regarding whether to proceed with climbing and staying overnight, including considerations of weather, transportation conditions, and physical health, are entirely the responsibility of the guest. Seikanso does not make individual judgments or provide refunds based on personal circumstances.
Date Changes
Date changes requested to avoid last-minute cancellations are permitted. However, due to the automatic processing systems of the Yamatan reservation platform and credit card companies, any cancellation fees incurred under the original reservation cannot be waived. As a result, even when changing dates, guests will be charged the accommodation fee for the new date in addition to the applicable cancellation fee.
Payment Method
A valid credit card is required at the time of reservation. Accommodation fees and cancellation fees will be automatically charged either on the check-in date or upon completion of the cancellation process. Once processed, payments are non-refundable.
Important Notice to Guests
"To ensure a safe and comfortable Mt. Fuji climbing experience, guests are requested to manage their schedules responsibly. A reservation reminder email will be sent three days prior to the check-in date. Cancellation fees will apply starting two days before the stay. Please review your plans carefully in accordance with weather forecasts and other conditions. Date changes can be made free of charge up to three days prior to the stay. Changes made two days or less before the stay will result in a charge of the new accommodation fee plus the applicable cancellation fee.
